Galatians 5:16 To understand the revelation of Mark 4 properly, you must know exactly what Jesus meant in verse 21 when He spoke of the candle. And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick? Mark 4:21 The Brick Wall Not fully understanding this verse will block the flow of the whole fourth chapter for you. Remember that in the traditional interpretation, the candle presents a new subject that ends the teaching about receiving thirtyfold, sixtyfold, and a hundredfold.
And Jesus answered them, saying,.... Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit John 12:20,21,23,24 What a strange answer Jesus gives.
