God Obeys His Own Word When the Lord says, “new,” He means exactly that: new! When He declares an end to one thing and the beginning of a new order, He is deadly serious. To reinforce the concept, He orders His people to not be concerned or even think about the old thing ever again because He wants their attention to be on what He will do next! “I am doing a new thing! ” (see Is. 43:19) Here we have a proclamation and question joined together, signifying intent. ” The implication is that we must let go of the old in order to even see the new.
