In October, cooperating teachers use the ETEP Outcomes Review and Feedback Form to complete a midplacement appraisal of the intern’s work. Rather, working with fellow teacher educators and teaching scholars, school-based educators, and our teacher candidates, we seek to construct theories of teaching that promote high-level learning for all students. We believe that this goal is fundamental not only if we are to treat teachers as true professionals and improve our educational system, but also if we are to strengthen our democracy by educating all of our citizens for active participation in that democracy.
