Many Christians reason that anything popular with the New Age movement must not have anything to do with the Church. They are right from a certain perspective, of course. But dreaming is not the exclusive province of the New Age. In fact, the New Age movement hijacked the concept of spiritual dreams from a much older biblical tradition.
The Bible speaks of a rainbow surrounding His throne and an emerald sea before Him. God is full of color! His is a kingdom of light! The kingdom of the enemy, however, is full of darkness. Satan’s kingdom is a dark kingdom characterized by darkness of mind, spirit, and behavior. As a child I had one recurring dream in which everything was very gray and dark.
