These things "are freely given to us of God... the Spirit who is of God"(v. 12). Paul is encouraging Christians that the deep things of God will be revealed to those who "have the mind of Christ" (v. 16). Referring to John 6:43—44 ("No one can come to me unless the Father.. draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day"), White reiterates his theme of the sinner's alleged inability to believe the gospel. But this declaration no more says that sinners "lack the ability to come to Christ" than the rule that no one can board an airliner without a ticket proves that all men lack the ability to walk aboard.

Any kind person would if he could. " We have seen clear biblical teaching that God does in fact restrain evil (Genesis 20:6), yet He does not restrain all evil, and He has a purpose in the evil that is a part of His decree (Genesis 50:20; Acts 4:27-28). So what is Mr. Hunt saying? That God cannot restrain the evil of man? Or that He will not? We are not told. If He cannot, He was foolish in creating man; if He will not and has no eternal decree to give purpose to evil, He is careless and monstrous.

3 I fail "to respond to contextual argumentation" with regard to 1 Corinthians 2:14? White gives none; he merely quotes the verse. The con-text shows that "the deep things of God" (v. 11–13) are not the gospel to the unsaved. The "shall not be able" (Luke 13:24) is not because of innate inability. The door has been shut, and it is too late to enter. Christ's enjoinder, "strive to enter in," refutes Calvinism. " (v. 23). The Old Testament sacrifices pointing to Christ were for all Israel. White avoids them because they don't support even one of Calvinism's five points.
