These can give you a good feel for the standing of the authors and the quality of the book. 10. Summarizing a section or paragraph is the best way of learning to think about the material that you are reading. Inevitably there will be times when it will be difficult to summarize a passage, especially when, for example, in the description of the methods and materials used, the original source uses a lot of technical terms and is very dense. Nonetheless, do try to summarize it in your own words. This will help you to understand much of the technical language.
