So, I think I’ve got a lot to learn though, I don’t think I understand the whole picture yet, of course, I’m just beginning. Later in her initial interview, Julie elaborates a bit on her current understanding of development in response to questions related to how children learn. For example, she states that readiness to learn and a child’s stage of development are factors that affect the learning process. She also says that physical maturity, mental maturity, and a person’s attitude all affect the learning process.

The story of Julie’s pedagogical development and life as a teacher is different from the others that follow. One of the main reasons for this is that she left classroom teaching after 5 years to enter the private sector.
