C. Valdez (1925) arrived to conduct large campaigns in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. The Pentecostal movement was introduced in Indonesia by two American missionaries in 1921, and its growth over the decades since then has been especially significant.

Of course, there were other reasons why the established churches quickly became hostile to Pentecostalism. 14 We have said that mainline ecclesiastical disapproval helped rather than hindered Pentecostal expansion, which advanced at a fast pace.
